Bettye-Jo Rawls Lloyd
Bettye-Jo Rawls Lloyd, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine. She performed her Ophthalmology residency at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C. She has been an associate professor of Ophthalmology at the State University of New York and was named instructor of the year for two years. Dr. Lloyd is a native of Indianapolis and had been in a solo practice for 8 years before joining Abrams EyeCare, formerly Lashmet, Spitzberg, Denny, Abrams in 1995. Dr. Lloyd is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American College of Surgeons, Indiana State Medical Association, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, Indianapolis Medical Society; the Indianapolis Ophthalmological Society and the Aesculapian Medical Society.
Although she enjoys all aspects of eye care (including routine exams for all ages), her special interests are treatment of glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Lloyd has donated her services to many organizations throughout the years, including the Indiana Society to Prevent Blindness and Eyecare for America through the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
